Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a visa for Uzbekistan?

Citizens of most European countries, the UK, Japan, Korea and all CIS states enter visa-free; many others (including US citizens) use a simple e-visa issued online in a few days. We advise on your specific nationality at booking.

How comfortable is this tour?

It is our most comfortable itinerary: 4-star hotels with buffet breakfast, air-conditioned transport, an easy walking pace and no altitude. It suits all ages, including families and senior travellers.

How do we get from Osh to Tashkent?

A comfortable private transfer takes you from Osh across the border to Tashkent — the crossing is straightforward with our support on both sides. Within Uzbekistan you travel between Tashkent and Samarkand by comfortable transport.

When is the best season for Tashkent and Samarkand?

The tour runs year-round. April–June and September–October are ideal, with warm days perfect for exploring. July and August are hot (35°C+), so summer days start earlier and include midday breaks.

What currency should I bring?

The Uzbek som is the local currency. Bring US dollars or euros in cash to exchange — rates are good and exchange offices are everywhere. Cards are accepted in hotels and larger restaurants, cash is better for bazaars.

Are lunches and dinners included?

Breakfast is included daily at the hotel buffet. Lunches and dinners are left free so you can explore Uzbek cuisine — plov, samsa, shashlik — at places we gladly recommend; eating out is very affordable.
